My Favorite Photo Tradition

It's "embrace the camera" day again over at the Anderson family crew.  So fun! Now I don't like to toot my own horn but....beep beep!  This is one of my favorite traditions and something that I can pass on to all of my kids. I can't even remember where I found the idea but luckily I found it before my oldest's first birthday.

Every year on each kid's birthday I take their picture in the same shirt. For the boys, it is one of Daddy's white button down work shirts. For my oldest daughter (#4 hasn't had a b-day yet) it is a shirt of mine. It's amazing to see how they have grown each year! Once I have the pic I scrapbook it and someday I will give each of them their own book.

It just so happens that last week was J's 6th birthday and here are the results...

6 years old

3 years old

We won't discuss my obvious improvement in photography skills. I think it speaks for itself (wink).

And of course no photo shoot would be complete without some of these...

J has no problem embracing the camera!
