Friendship

True friendship is such an amazing gift! To Embrace the Camera this week I wanted to share my dearest friendship.

Here she is... the fabulous Meredith. We know this friendship was blessed from the beginning because my married name is Meredith, so come on, who could argue with that? I met Meredith on the first day of 7th grade. I was so worried about not having anyone to hang out with that I asked her to meet me in the quad at brunch. Wow, "quad" & "brunch" are giving me flashbacks.  She clearly couldn't see what an insecure freak I was and decided to meet me. Yeah!
We have been inseparable ever since. That's 23 years people. We spent so much time together I can't believe we had anything left to talk about. If we weren't together, we were on the phone or writing notes to each other. It's like we were dating! Ok, not really.
This woman has stood by me through literally the best & worst times in my life.  Even when I was selfish and not returning the blessing, she was there.  God has weaved our lives together in such an amazing way. I am so grateful for that. {Not to mention she is my personal travel agent and scheduler because I am terrible at those things}
When we were young{er} we would talk for hours planning how we would live down the street from each other, our kids would play together and everything would be perfect.  Well as adults now we realize things are never perfect in this world but we do live down the street from each other. Our kids do play together, and we have each other to lean on. Thank you Jesus!
I love you Meredith and I just pray that you know how much.

And now to completely embarrass her...
Here we are in 7th grade! Yikes!

Join Emily and Embrace the Camera. She has an amazing story!

How cool is that? It's so important to have good, dependable friends. Sounds like you have just that. I pray daily that I'll be the kind of friend that is supportive and dependable. Love the photos and story about your friend. =)

Such a blessing to have dear friends live so close, too :). What a beautiful friendship! "Even when I was selfish and wasn't returning the blessing, she was there." How often have we found ourselves in this situation, and how lucky are we :).
