An Artist in the Making

Nothing is lovelier than my kids loving each other and spending time doing an activity they both enjoy. On this particular day they put together something I could have never imagined.

Some of you may know W wants to be president and J loves any kind of arts and crafts. Put those together and you've got the perfect opportunity to have J paint a presidential portrait of W!

This is Will's most presidential pose. Now before you think to yourself,  "wow, he looks miserable" you should know that all of the president's look very serious in their portraits {or so he tells me}.

I love the happiness on J's face as she works her magic on the canvas.

Here is the final product, and she is very proud of it!

I love her painting, but even more I love watching them spend time together laughing and talking. I loved hearing W tell her what a great job she did and watching her face light up at his compliment. Those moments are the loveliest.

Love this idea; and how do they look so old all of a sudden!? Perhaps looking presidential and being an artist adds years to them? Can't wait to see W hang it in the Oval Office one day!
