Softball season has come to an end and J is already asking when she can play again. She had so much fun and took it very seriously. I have to say watching those little girls out there was the cutest thing ever! And she had the bonus of Daddy coaching so they were able to spend lots of extra time together.
On a completely separate topic I am getting a big fat "F" in potty training! I know what you are thinking..."but Jami, you've already done this twice before!" Let me tell you people it feels like the first time. I'm convinced this kid is never gonna use the toilet. He does, however, have many other places he likes to poop. His underwear, his swim diaper {about 10 seconds before swim lessons start} and my very favorite...wait for it...peeing in the pantry. Yes, you read that correctly! I caught him peeing in the food pantry!
Anyone want to come over for dinner?
No?
Somebody help me!

Wow, the pantry is pretty bad. I've been through potty training with 3 boys and although I'm super sad that they are getting bigger, that is one part of parenting that I'm not sad to say good-bye to. Hang in there!
No way. Pee in the pantry?! Poop in swim trunks? Lovely. Cannot wait! Hang in there, Jami!
i'm right there with you on the potty training F. my 3.5 year old REFUSES to poop in the potty. he'll pee appropriately all day long.....but every.single.night he poops in his underwear. i am at my wits end. fortunately, we don't have a pantry so at least THAT'S safe ;)
love that last one. lol. hang in there and earn that potty training badge (I think you get it in heaven?.....) keep that sense of humor, friend!
<3
I played fast pitch competitive softball growing up!I sure do miss those hot summer nights!
p.s. potty training=losing my mind.My daughter was OBSESSED with prince Eric from the Little Mermaid...we told her she could talk to him on the phone if she started using the toilet...worked great. Is your little one obsessed with any character? Try that ;) Now my son is a whole different story, he will be happy with me wiping his bottom FOREVER!!lol
Oh no, I am feeling for you there. Mine were a little tough and I couldn't wait for them to be potty trained. Why do kids always find the perfect time to poop??
I am only laughing because I've totally been there with my little Mr. peeing in the pantry is pretty much the funniest thing I've heard...I'm sorry friend!
We had no peeing in the pantry, but it took forever to get my daugter trained. She just had no interest. Good luck. Love your hat in that pic by the way.
It's a sad day when sports come to an end. :-(
how old is your son? maybe he's not ready to be potty trained.
xxO
Oh man, potty training... every kid is so different, my son was a breeze.. my daughter, oh my goodness. Hope he gets it soon and I am glad he peed in the pantry not the fridge.Because THAT would be gross :)
it may not make you feel any better, but your kiddo peeing in the pantry makes me feel ALOT better!!! i am in the process of potty training my daughter and i swear that girl would wear diapers until she was 12 if she could. i hope both of us have good luck and get through it fast!
