Today there are many things on my heart. Mostly that I'm feeling a bit disconnected from God. Of course only by my own doing. Focusing on the wrong things. My oldest son has decided to be baptized on Sunday and I am humbled. I don't think there could be any greater gift than my children choosing Christ on their own. I know this walk is a long one and he will have many trials along the way but my heart is full.
I want to share a song with you that I usually have on repeat, especially during times that I feel overwhelmed by the love the Lord is showering on me. I am in awe because I know I don't deserve it, but He loves me in spite of myself. I often find myself praying a song...lyrics that exactly express how I feel.

"I find myself here on my knees again,
caught up in grace like an avalanche,
nothing compares to this love, love, love."

Never heard that one before! Thanks for sharing it.
I also pray lyrics sometimes. Especially when I have strong emotions that are too big for words.
I have never heard this song and think it's just what I needed this week!
Sunday is going to be so special. Times of disconnect are tough. Hang in there.
we all feel the disconnect at certain times in our lives. i'm always thankful for the times that i acknowledge the fact and get back reconnecting with HIm. so thankful that He is always there and waiting for me to come back.
happy weekend!
Awww...what a wonderful time in your family Jami! Its funny, just last Sunday before service started my oldest asked me "whats it mean to be (water) baptized momma? Why is it important? Why do they do it in a church?" Now we havent had a baptismal service in quite awhile so I was floored that she was asking these questions. Someday when the time is right I pray she'll make the right decision. Have a wonderful weekend!

What a blessing and a testament to you as a momma. You taught him that... and God is never more than a prayer away so you can't get too far.
