I love when God throws those little moments into my day to change my heart. I actually believe He does this all the time but I am not always open enough to notice.
Hubby and I volunteer in Sunday School but I will admit this Sunday when I woke up my heart was not prepared. We had been out late the night before and I was exhausted. I have the easy job of working in the nursery {hubby teaches Kindergarten} but it sounded a lot better to stay in bed.
Many times I may only have baby C in the nursery with me so I dragged my self out of bed and figured I could make it through the hour.
This time J decided she wanted to help me and of course I accepted. Before we got settled in I asked J to come pray with me. We prayed for C and any other babies we may get that day. I found myself explaining to her why we were praying for the children and that these children are treasures to God and we had a big responsibility.
I put C in the bouncer to set up the rest of the room and here is what I turned around to see...
This is J teaching a Sunday School lesson to her sister about the parting of the Red Sea, with some math facts thrown in just for fun. We didn't get any other babies that day but I got to sit back and watch My oldest daughter love on and nurture my youngest. That was a gift from God and something I almost let myself miss out on. So today I'm thankful for this moment and for God draggin my butt out of bed.

Completely agree that God uses moments that catch us off guard. I'm so glad that you were given this moment with two of your sweet kids.
Wow, that is so sweet. I love the way God takes us in our ordinary moments (where we are sometimes even hesitant) and then goes on to do incredible things, even despite whether we're looking for it or not. Isn't he good?!
don't you love when you see Him? ~d. :)
