I began thinking about my dream kitchen and there is one design element I would like to incorporate some day. Open shelving! I just love it {I can already hear the hubby saying how impractical that is}. Here is a perfect example of what I would love.
How fun to be able to see all of your kitchen tools right there.
I'm sure I could have found a bunch of pics of dream kitchens to post for the Inspiration Workshop {Lord knows I've spent enough time searching Pinterest} but I decided to focus on my own kitchen and why I love it.
This is the perfect kitchen for me because these are the kinds of things that happen there...
my kids making Father's Day breakfast
my little Snow White making a casserole
the lucky one who gets to lick the spoon
my boys making me dinner
I get to use my Hubby's Grandmother's bowls
I keep my favorite scriptures in my sight
{can someone give me a better cuter way to display my scripture cards???}
The memories I make with my big family in this tiny kitchen are priceless and inspirational to me. I hope you are inspired by your space.

I heart open shelving!!! Kitchens are my favorite rooms in homes! So much loves happens in there :)
I love that you focused on loving what you already have! That is the key to a happy heart :) Here's to many more awesome memories in your kitchen!
I LOVE that your daughter is wearing her princess dress while cooking. Looks familiar! That is a SWEET bowl...aren't vintage bowls the best?
Do you have space on one of your walls for a little chalkboard? You could write your verses on that.
your kitchen is so cute...I also really love the open shelving though! As for your scriptures, I saw someone place scriptures throughout a flipping recipe thing, and they could always flip to one to display it which was pretty darling....
love this post! (I have a whole folder on my computer with dream home images!!!)
Love Snow White in the kitchen! I also would like to do some open shelving. I was thinking about it yesterday. Hmmm....maybe laminate the cards, and put magnets on them or just pin them to a bulletin board??? A lot of work, but then they will last a long time.
I love your tile backsplash . I think your posting of the scriptures is perfect, not too fussy and right where you can see them, you don't need to do anything, it is the right inspiration for your family and friends to see everyday!
love it! your cozy kitchen is perfect!
i have laminated my scripture cards-they are just tacked around the house-kinda lame. i do have a daily flip calendar of psalms that stays by my sink and is always a blessing-i memorize the verses without even trying!
xo
I'm big into kitchens too! It's such a warm, fun place and it seems like everyone hangs out there.
Have you thought about magnet picture frames for your scripture cards? Might be a fun way to dress them up on the fridge.
my husband wants open shelving... I argued against it LOL! i love your kitchen! lots of family time goes on in there by the looks of your pics. i love old pyrex bowls. did you get my email?
xxO
Ugh! We are kindreds! Open shelving is one of my dreams! Although my hubs is happy about that because it's so much cheaper than cabinetry. Ha! Thanks for following! So glad to have found you!
And thanks for entering the giveaway!
LOVE your Grandma's bowls! So charming! How special. I love open shelves too! One day!
And if you figure out a new way to display your scripture- let me know! I'd like to find a different way also!
It is the people that make our spaces... you are so right. You could print them and put them in little frames. Or you could make a little clothes line across your back splash and clip them there... that way they are easy to change and it is a good place to clip a recipe too when you are cooking.
I love open shelving! And it would MAKE me keep at least some of my cabinets organized :) I love that you highlighted the reasons that you love your own kitchen!
I love your kitchen and even more I love what happens in your kitchen!
oh! i love the open shelving too :) it's such a cute way to display all the pretties!
so fun. i love the inspiration. but i also love your kitchen. and the memories being made there!
i love my kitchen too, even though its just a simple galley kitchen, it fits my needs perfectly. :)
you could whip up some verses on picnik or photoshop, print them out, and then laminate them? or slip them into page covers. I tack a few things on the inside of my cabinets (like my grandmas special lemon muffin recipe). my cabinets are almost always open when i'm in there. and then closed up when i'm not....usually. ;)
ummm i love you kitchen too!
We have those bowls, too! Except we have the golden yellow color.
your kitchen is wonderful! i'm the same way ... i'd love open shelving. i'm hoping that the mr. might go for it in our next place!
lovely kitchen and loved this post! open shelving = amazing!!!
i know...i wanted to take my cabinet doors off...mister ain't going for it. love the pyrex obviously. and you should do one of those things that are like photo line. you know the string of some sort ~ that has clothes pins or somethign on it holding b/w pictures, but instead your verses on white index cards. oh,oh, what about a line with black and white photos mixed with white index cards written on in black ink. does that make since? do you have a place for that? am I crazy? don't answer.
I love that you focused on your kitchen! It is so cute and looks to be filled with so much love and fun!
Awww, that's really sweet, I would love that kitchen too...it really is the little things! :-)
i love that bowl! didn't i threaten to steal another bowl of yours once? i'm taking that one, too. ;)
You have such a great kitchen!!! And I love the open shelving too. So pretty! Just a lot of maintenance keeping it looking nice since it's out in the open!
