Thankful Enough?

I wonder sometimes if I am thankful enough. Specifically for my husband. Do I take him for granted, not noticing everything he does for our family?

There is always the obvious...he works hard to allow me to stay home with our kids. He is a wonderful provider, and for that of course I am thankful.

But do I take enough time to notice the other ways he gives of himself daily?

The way he trains up our boys and teaches them new things...

See where her tooth used to be? That tooth had to be pulled {and not by me}.

He spends time doing what they want to do {all while letting me lounge by the pool}

He leads them.

I am thankful for a husband who takes the time to see what my children need from him. What they need to see and hear from him. A husband who knows he sets the example, and while he's not perfect, he is aware that all eyes are on him.

Am I thankful enough? I'm not sure I could ever be.

Thank you Lord for the gift of my husband.

Thanks for your prayers lifted up for my son-n-law and his mission trip! How awesome to meet new friends in the Lord through such a way as blogland! This post is Such a great reminder to all of us to be thankful for the Godly husbands we have who lead our families and to pray for our sisters whose husbands don't know the Lord. I'm looking forward to following your blog!

Oh, I totally know what you mean! I try to make sure he knows he is appreciated, but as the days get filled with running kids here and there, getting dinner on the table and all of the other "stuff" of life it is too often I don't "tell" him. Thanks for the reminder today :)

This is such a good reminder, especially when it can be so easy to fall (selfishly) into a nagging pattern and focus on all the things you wish he would do.

Speaking of thanks, thanks for the blog comment! Your hubby sounds like a great father, and we need more great dads in this world! I can't wait for the day my husband will be a dad (well, I can wait a couple years!) ;-)
