Anytime we go camping we make a long list of all the items we don't want to forget. She made her own list. She very carefully wrote out the food she wanted to eat and the toys she wanted to bring. She even highlighted the toys as she packed them. Makes a momma proud.
And even before they left she was ready to thank him. She made this sweet note.
Luckily Hubby snapped these shots with his phone so I could see all the fun they were having.
This one is a little Blair Witch Project for me, but I appreciated him sending it.
You know what else I love about my girl? When asked what she wanted to have for dinner on their trip she replied "steak, baked potatoes and corn." And you know what I love about hubby? He said, "You got it!"
What are some ways you carve out time with your kids? I'd love any suggestions!

That is so sweet!! I love kids!
That is the sweetest. All of it... The list, the thank you, the special time with dad, and the dinner request. Can't wait to take my little guy camping one day!
so precious. glad they had a good time!
so very sweet! You should be proud :)
I love this..the kids do love that one-on-one time, huh? We have been saying for forever that we are going to go camping and we just haven't yet. I think it's b/c we don't have all the stuff..but we need to so just do it. :)
love the list... so adorable! We love family game nights and drives in the country where the kids have a treasure hunt of things to look for as we drive. It's fun!
i LOVE this. and yes, that last image looks like blair witch ;)
I love that you guys take time for one on ones with each kid. I love how completely stoked she was for the trip!
You are speakin' my language girl! I always had "Jan Brady Syndrome" so I'm always freaked out that my kids won't all feel like they were loved "equally". so that one on one time is SO important, even a small trip to town just to get a hot chocolate, or one that I'm going to do with my daughter is find a trail and take pictures, of the trees and of her, because she gets a little envious when I'm off taking pictures of her friends (as a mini job) so next week, it's all about "Roo". ;0)
This is so sweet! I like to take my oldest out for a little date of ice cream every once in awhile. There's not a lot of time to get out with just him, so ice cream is quick and easy and it makes him feel special.
beautiful! gracious, your family is sweet. xo love ya!
So awesome!! I love her dinner request! Yum!!
I love this intentional parenting! Very inspiring friend :)
This is very sweet. We do special date days with our boys. They get to pick. It is usually something along of the lines of mini-golf or ice cream. I don't mind what they pick. I just love our time to chat with each other one on one.
Are you ready for a date night? Lets do this before school starts. We will take friday night for you! Let me know call me or text. And by the way I loved this blog!
Love you! A.C.
