I'm so glad you popped in today. I'm excited to introduce you to...
I first started thinking about this idea awhile ago during my skype date with the lovely Hannah from Happy Days, she was super cute in her hoody sweatshirt by the way. Then the other day I read a post from Laura at Splendor that really spoke to me and the idea of "We Encourage" was born.
Here's the skinny...
I have been so blessed by this blogging community and I am thankful for the beautiful, inspiring words I find all over blogland. So on Tuesdays I will give you a place to link up your encouraging post. Super duper right?
This can take many forms. Your post can be a scripture, your encouraging thoughts on a topic you've noticed others struggling with. Did you find a great new blog or shop you want to share to encourage that blogger or shop owner to keep doin what they're doin? It all works.
This should be a place to shine a light for each other and bring glory to our Heavenly Father.
I hope you'll join me, I'd love to have you.
Grab a button for your post, link back here and visit some other fabulous bloggers! Don't forget to leave each other "encouraging" comments. Get it...it goes with the theme...encouragment. Mkay, well here is my encouraging post for today.
Sometimes I get caught up in the every day mundane tasks that are a big part of my life. You know the ones I'm talking about...laundry, dishes, scrubbing the toilets, cooking 100 meals and snacks a day. I'm definitely not always doing it joyfully. Let's be honest scrubbing toilets is not that fun.
I will even admit that some days I wonder if anyone even notices what I'm doing. Do you ever feel that way?
"No one is going to notice I did all this."
But there is someone who notices, God. He sees eveything we do and it's important to Him because it's important to our households.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
We tell our kids this all the time. I sometimes forget to apply it to myself. God sees that I'm doing the laundry because I know Hubby likes to have a full underwear drawer and it's one of the ways I serve him. He sees that I put extra effort into that breakfast because I knew my kids would really enjoy it. He knows that as I fold my 10th basket of laundry I'm praying for each person as I touch their shirt or sock. And isn't He who we should be trying to please?
Don't lose heart friends. This side of Heaven will not always be glamorous or full of reward but your Father sees YOU, loves YOU and meets you right where you are.
"The homeliest tasks get beautified if loving hands do them."
Louisa May Alcott
