We Encourage

The Lord has been doing a work in me lately. I've got a lot on my mind and haven't sorted it all out just yet. This week I wanted to share a quote I came across in a devotional that really encouraged me to stay focused on righteous and eternal things. It encouraged me to stay continually in prayer. I hope it encourages you.

"The prayer of the feeblest saint on earth who lives in the spirit and keeps right with God is a terror to Satan. The very powers of darkness are paralyzed by prayer...no wonder Satan tries to keep our minds fussy in active work till we cannot think in prayer."
Oswald Chambers

I believe prayer has power. Even when I don't have the right words to say, I still cry out and I won't ever stop.

Absolutely. This is one of my favorite verses:
"For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words." Romans 8:26

That is a beautiful and meaningful quote... especially to me. I am one of those who puts off prayer and Bible readong far too often because "I have too much on my mind to focus." I know that's a total cop out. God wants the biggest, best part of me and He will meet me there. I wish I could pin that quote but I don't think pinterest lets you do that... lol

I'm joining in your link up today. Thanks for the inspiration to write about how God has encouraged me this week.

I love that quote! I think the biggest things Satan tries to throw at Americans are distractions, and I'm feeling it today. Thank you for this reminder!
