The Word From a Child

There is something truly beautiful about the Word read aloud by a child. My daughter loves to read her bible and I think I could sit and listen to her read it all day.
While she was reading Esther to Hubby it really struck me in a new way. Her little voice...her little lisp, reading about being a woman for such a time as this. Reading about a woman of bravery who followed God's calling for her. How amazing that the story of Esther can be just as inspiring to my 6 year old daughter as it is to me.

J,
I pray you hear God's calling for your life and you pursue it boldly and faithfully.

Sweet!! I just read this post and what's funny is that my 7 year old just told me not 3 hours ago the story of Esther! Not reading out of the Bible, but telling me the story in her own words, with her own little lisp. :)

Ack, I got misty eyed. That was beautiful. My oldest reads his little bible stories and there really is nothing like hearing The Word through a child. Esther was my favorite story in the bible as a child, I read it over and over!

My mother in law was just telling me how important it is for your children to know the Word. I can't wait for us to have kids to read the bible with, and am anxious for the day where they can read it to us. There is just something so amazing about it all! Thank you for your beautiful blog!

this post hit me like a ton of bricks just now. my daughter has been asking all week to read a bible story at night.. and Ive been so distracted this entire week that I've disregarded her requests and said "we'll do it tomorrow". so sad I know. I didnt realize it until I read your post. with a sincere heart, i say thank you.
