"we encourage" - Amen

I had no idea what I was going to write about today. I was thinking about not writing anything. It's late. I'm tired and I've been feeling a bit uninspired lately.
So I decided I wasn't going to post anything and got on Pinterest instead. Can we just have a moment of silence for how wonderful Pinterest truly is?
I came upon this.

And all I could think was, amen.
We all sin. In a thousand different ways. I probably sinned a thousand ways just today.
But I love the Lord.
I pray every day that He would use me. That he would put someone in my path that I can love on.
Many days I fall short, I sin, but I won't give up.

I am not afraid to admit I have judged others sins. I would have that thought...you know "I would never do that." Have you had those thoughts? C'mon, let's have a show of hands.
No? Just me? That's awkward.

I have made some wonderful friends during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Here is what I know.  We ALL fall short of the glory of God. While we should be speaking truth to people in our lives, it will fall on deaf ears if it is not done in love.

I want to encourage us to love each other through it.
Stop being surprised at sin and try to help restore on another.
What freedom there is in that.
I'm going to offer wise counsel where I can.
Biblical advice.
But more than that, I'm simply going to love.

A great quote and encouraging post. I too have been guilty of judging others sin in the midst of my own sin.

I'm right there with you on your love for Pinterest!

I'm really starting to find that judging people is a struggle of mine. When I sit and think about it Matthew 7:3 is always brought to mind, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?" (NIV)

Thank you for this reminder!

Just when you were feeling uninspired, such inspiration! I have had to remind myself not to judge others sins as somehow "worse" than my own. That quote hit the nail right on the head.

This is the best blog post I've seen this week. You hit the nail on the head when you found this quote. We all sin, even when we try and give it our best; we still manage to somehow slip, trip and sometimes simply fall, BUT, thank God for 2nd chances, lessons learned and His love that endures for ever.
