Thankful for Prayer & Him

See this kid?
He gave me such a great reminder the other day.
A reminder about prayer.
A reminder about my relationship with God the Father.

Also, he picked out his own outfit, he's a stud.

This was his prayer at bedtime.

"Dear God, thank you for this day.
Thank you that Daddy came home safely and that I got to play with W after school.
And I really wanted that chocolate cookie, even though Mommy said I couldn't. It looked really good and I really love chocolate. Maybe tomorrow I can have a chocolate cookie.
And please help me to obey.
And thank you for race cars."

Seriously, I can hardly take it. The cuteness.
My little man's prayer reminded me that what is important to me is important to God. It's not small to Him.
If chocolate cookies {that's Oreos, for the record} and race cars are what's on his heart, then that is what God cares about.
That truly amazes me.
If a financial situation or a strain within a friendship is on my heart, that is what God cares about.
I am thankful for that kind of love.
I am thankful that I have my little ones to remind me what an open honest prayer life looks like.
And I am thankful that my children understand they can take anything to Him, their heavenly Father, and lay it as His feet

This is so great. To have a child like faith is something i wish Is strive to possess. We must remember to cast ALL of our cares on him. Even ones we think don't mean anything! Thank you for this post :)

That's so sweet! I love that God listens to all of us and can meet our needs even though everyone in the body of Christ is so different. Very cool!! :)
